Seklbos wood: economical, sustainable, and clean
Braaimaster BW04 Sicklebush wood is perfect for authentic, environmentally friendly barbecuing. Packaged in recyclable 20 kg boxes, this wood is naturally dried under the African sun, ensuring a moisture content of less than 3%, making it dry and ready to use.
Sekelbos is renowned for its extremely long burn time and ability to produce large coals, generating intense heat while producing little smoke. Its natural fragrance adds a subtle and pleasant touch to your grilled foods, creating a unique barbecue experience. Thanks to its convenient size, this wood is easy to handle and maintain during your cooking sessions.
100% natural wood harvested in Namibia
Sekelbos is harvested in the savannahs of Namibia, where this invasive (non-native) bush species poses a major problem. The proliferation of Sekelbos dries out grassy savannahs and makes them dense, preventing wildlife from grazing. Deforestation helps restore the original function of savannahs in the Namibian ecosystem. Animals regain the space they need to graze, and the local population benefits from the jobs created by this harvest. We work directly with Namibian farmers involved in these projects.
When you choose BW04 Sicklebush wood, you are choosing a 100% natural, clean, attractive product that is harvested sustainably, benefiting both the Namibian ecosystem and its inhabitants. Perfect for barbecue enthusiasts looking for quality, durability, and environmental friendliness.
